How to get a United States Passport
Stop in any AAA Hudson Valley office to get discounted Passport photos. AAA Plus members get one set per year for free! Once you have your photos, you'll need to fill out an application. Applications, your documentation and photos can then be taken to certain U.S. Post Offices, local government offices, or a US Passport office for payment and processing. Note that AAA is not authorized to process your application for you.

International Drivers Permit
Before you hit the road abroad, you'll need a special permit called an Internatioanl Driver Permit (IDP). AAA Hudson Valley can help you get one. The IDP is valid in over 150 countries, which are listed on the IDP application. We can also help you obtain an Inter-American Driving Permit. This permit is valid in Central and South America. When traveling, bring your new permit along with your state issued identification with you. Here's how to apply:
- Fill out an application.
- Bring your appplication, 2 Passport size photos, and the $15.00 fee to any AAA Hudson Valley location.
- You must be at least 18 years old to apply for an IDP
- You must have a valid state drivers license that is not suspended or revoked. It must be valid at the time your international permit is issued.
