Child Safety Seats
Did you know that four out of five car seats are installed incorrectly or used improperly? AAA Hudson Valley's Traffic Safety Team is made up of certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. We can educate you on proper car seat usage and show you how to install your safety seats correctly. Learn more about our Child Safety Seat Checks and Loaner Program.
Resources for Teen Drivers and their Parents
When it comes to teen drivers, the statistics are startling. Teen drivers are more likely to be involved in a motor vehicle crash as a result of their inexperience and likelihood to engage in risky driving behaviors. Traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers in America. Mile for mile, teenagers are involved in three times as many crashes as all other drivers.
It is important for teenage drivers to remember that driving is a privilege and one of their first responsibilities as an adult. That's why AAA Hudson Valley is committed to providing teens the training and education they need to stay safe on the road.
AAA’s Traffic Safety educators travel to local schools and events to help teach little ones about safety. Topics include school bus safety, how to cross the street, bicycle safety and more.
AAA Traffic Safety Foundation
The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety was founded in 1947 by AAA to conduct research to address growing highway safety issues. The organization’s mission is to identify traffic safety problems, foster research that seeks solutions and disseminate information and educational materials. Learn more.
